Inspiration: Orchesterwerke von Debussy und Ravel. Modale Klangflächen, flirrende Instrumentation, voneinander unabhängige Satzschichten, wellenartige Fluktuation der Teilelemente, um das im Film so allgegenwärtige Meer zu bespiegeln. Wichtigstes Instrument wurde die Altflöte, die, meist mit “äolischem”, gehauchtem Sound, die flüsternde marine Seele nachzeichnen soll.
